Privacy

What Alien? is built to collect as little as possible. Here is everything we handle and why.

Your quiz answers

Your answers stay in your browser, in this tab only, and are cleared when you close it. If you buy a report, they are sent to our server once to calculate your result. We keep only the result (your archetype, mood and a few derived details), never the answers themselves.

Your first name and portrait choice

Both are optional. If you buy a report, your first name is stored with your order by our payment provider so your report can greet you. Ask us and we'll stop using it; your report will then call you “Traveller”.

Your email address

You give it to us at checkout. We and our payment provider use it to send your receipt and download link, and to send a new link if you ask for one. We don't send marketing.

Payments

Card details go directly to our payment provider. We never see or store them.

Analytics

We count visits and how far people get through the quiz with cookieless analytics. We record which question was completed, never which answer you chose, and nothing that identifies you.

Your rights

To have your name and result deleted from your order, or for any privacy question, email support@whatalien.com. The payment record itself is kept as tax law requires.
